The 10th edition of Ride the Trafalgar Way will be a special one. Details will be launched on Trafalgar Day 21st October 2026, at 18:05. Remember put Thursday 17th - Sunday 20th June 2027 in your diary. 2027 is the year of the 222nd anniversary of the Battle of trafalgar. The 2027 event will be limited to just 222 rider entries!

The image of the route is a possible route that you might decide to take. Further details of the controls and pit stops will be made available on 21 October 2026. Please note that at this time the route is only an image and not an interactive map.

To enter this limited entry event details will be published on 21st October 2026, at 18:05. There will be a link and a new page to the Let’s Do This registration platform will open.

What is included:

  • A truly memorable and historical route passing through 22 of the original 23 places Lieutenant Lapenotiere stopped and passed whilst carrying his dispatches to the Admiralty. ^^
  • Commemorative finishers medal
  • Use of facilities at 4 main controls out of the 21 controls (details of these locations will be released on 17 June 2026).
  • Floor sleep space at the 4 main controls. Please not this is not a bed
  • A bag transfer (no larger than 56cm x 45cm x 25cm) to one of the 4 main controls. A bag (no larger than 56cm x 45cm x 25cm) can be stored at the start / finish. ** ±±

Salisbury. The only place not passed through is Woodyates.

The route also passes other places connected to the Battle of Trafalgar story including, The Trafalgar Memorial - Portsmouth, the Hardy Monument - near Portesham, Portesham House - Portesham (the childhood home of Vice-Admiral Sir Thomas Masterman Hardy) and Menheniot, the final resting place for Captain John Richards Lapenotiere RN.

** Please note if a rider withdraws or scratches from the event their bag(s) will be posted back to them post event, once payment for the postage has been received.

±± Every effort will be made to look after any bag. Bags are left at owners risk, it should be insured by the owner and not contain high value items.
