The fourth edition of the Ride the Trafalgar Way audax will take place over the weekend of 24th - 25th June 2023. The 2023 ride, dubbed the French connection, is a Paris Brest Paris (PBP) qualifier

Victory is a solo night ride just over 90 miles in length. Starting in Salisbury, the ride runs through Andover, Overton, Basingstoke, Hook, Hartley Wintney, Camberley, Bagshot, Egham, Sunningdale, Hounslow, Chiswick, Hammersmith and Knightsbridge before finishing in Westminster.

    At just over 200 miles long, starting in Exeter the ride includes the Jurassic coastline (a World Heritage Site), past the Hardy Monument and then the cathedral city of Salisbury. From here the ride heads towards and into the City of Westminster finishing with a ride along Whitehall to the Admiralty.

    • Event Type: Solo Endurance Ride on open roads, including riding at night following the same designated route as Conqueror and Victory. The ride is c203.80 miles long and riders are required to complete the route within 19 hours including any stationary time (Aid Stations, mechanicals etc) or c15 - 30minutes at each Aid Station or longer with fewer stops should be considered. Serious consideration should be given to a ride strategy and have a plan B due to a mechanical, fatigue, the weather conditions or other factors. Riders will pass through the cities, towns and villages of Honiton, Axminster - passing along a road renamed ‘The Trafalgar Way’ in 2005, then onwards to Bridport cycling along the Jurassic Coast, Dorchester and Blandford Forum before arriving at the midway point in the cathedral city of Salisbury. From here it’s then onto Andover, Whitchurch, Overton, Basingstoke, Hartney Wintney, Camberley, Staines upon Thames Chiswick, Knightsbridge before finishing in the historic Ripley Courtyard at Admiralty House.
    • Age requirement: Age 18-68 on or before 14th July 2018
    • Minimum average speed requirement: 15 - 17.5 mph over the entire distance. This is on the basis of c2h15mins - 4h30mins of stoppages for the entire route.
    • Suggested minimum pre event training requirement: 170 miles in a single ride with hill climbing.

Team Colossus is a ride just over 500km, 312.10 miles long, a 24 hour challenge finishing at Admiralty House on Whitehall in the early hours. This shared journey offers team members with an iconic start and finish locations, beautiful and demanding landscapes, coastline and cathedral cities. Teams collectively ride the first mile from Pendennis Castle, Falmouth (Grand Depart) and the last mile (Grand Arrivée) together as a team.

    Route Information:


    At just over 220 miles long, starting at Pendennis Point, Falmouth the route closely follows the route of 1805. Riders heads towards Truro, skirt the Dartmoor National Park and onto Exeter. From here riders then head towards the only stretch of road renamed 'The Trafalgar Way' in Axminster, pass the Jurassic coastline and the Hardy Monument before finishing in the cathedral city of Salisbury.

      All riders (including all members of any team undertaking Colossus) rendezvous at the start at Pendennis Castle, ready for the Grand Depart. Solo riders and Colossus teams roll out of Pendennis Castle together. At this point all Solo riders and one or two Colossus team riders continue to follow the designated cycling route to Rendezvous 1 at Fraddon. Meanwhile the rest of the team ride a lap of Pendents Point and then load their vehicle and follow the designated vehicle route along the A30 to Rendezvous 1 at Fraddon. For the riders undertaking Britannia follow the same route round from Pendennis Castle before continuing onwards to Exeter.
