What was your reason for wanting to ride the Trafalgar Way?

A combination of wanting to take on the 500km in 24hr challenge and to be the first rider to complete it fixed!

How would you sum up your ride of the Trafalgar Way to a friend?

An amazing and challenging ride with spectacular views! First 300km is always gonna be tough getting out of Cornwall, Devon, and Dorset but you are rewarded for your efforts with a more relaxing final 200km

What was your most memorable part of the ride?

Hitting the Jurassic coast in Dorset! Amazing coastal views and more tough climbs!

What are your top 3 tips for anyone thinking of riding the Trafalgar Way?

I broke it down into sections, knew the first stages would be tough but tried to ride hard with fresh legs knowing things would get easier as the ride went on.

Get some hilly training rides in as your gonna be in the hills for a fair while!

Remember to enjoy the views! Its easy to keep your head down and focus on the challenge but it really is worth a stop now and again to enjoy some of the amazing scenery this event offers. I wish I had taken more photos!

What are your top bits of equipment or kit you wouldn’t want to ride the Trafalgar Way without?

Dynohub, it powers my lights and phone.

RideWithGPS App on my iPhone, its never let me down yet and works flawlessly.

Sinewave Revolution USB charger, bomb proof reliability 5 years old and not showing a single issue, even works underwater!!!

What bike (make and model) and chainset / cassette set up did you ride the Trafalgar Way with (if available)?

I rode a 2007 Fuji Track with 48 x 18 gearing
