What was your reason for wanting to ride the Trafalgar Way?

I wanted to enter an endurance event that challenged me more than the average sportive.

How would you sum up your ride of the Trafalgar Way to a friend?

A brutal, emotional & exhausting event that will push you to your physical and mental limits and beyond.

What was your most memorable part of the ride?

Riding along the Dorset coast road up to Hardy’s Monument on a crystal clear cold night lit by bright moonlight

What are your top 3 tips for anyone thinking of riding the Trafalgar Way?

Don’t shy away from hills. They will bite you on the day if you avoid them in training.
Ride at least two thirds distance before the event.
Ride the event & train for it with a partner. You should both have the same aims, mental & physical preparedness to get to the finish on time.

What are your top bits of equipment or kit you wouldn’t want to ride the Trafalgar Way without?

Waterproof!
Garmin with turn by turn navigation and back up power cell
Bright, powerful lights with a back up power supply
